Using the latest BioCote technology antimicrobial blinds are available in both vertical and roller formats and are focused on the prevention of health care associated infections. BioCote itself is a silver based antimicrobial technology making Tropical blinds systems cleaner, safer and more hygienic to use.

In addition this BioCote protection is a constant barrier to bugs such as MRSA for the lifetime of the blind system. BioCote is a unique silver ion technology that is incorporated into Tropical Blinds at the time of manufacture meaning the antimicrobial protection is built in. Not only do they fight superbugs they inhibit the growth of bacteria, mould and fungi on their surface helping to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

Tropical Blinds are therefore ideal for hospitals, nursing homes, schools and other public environments where the possibility for cross-contamination and therefore the risk of infection is high. They are effective against MRSA, E.coli and salmonella.
